Union Station

Have you ever been to Denver? Let me ask you this, have you ever visited Denver like a local? I’ve been to Denver and gotten the beautiful experience of the Red Rocks Amphitheater with a couple places downtown, but there’s nothing like traveling like a local!

Today, I'm going to give you a quick guide through the downtown Denver scene. Our sweet friend, Dustilynn, took Aissa and I in for the weekend and treated us to the ultimate local’s guide to Denver. As soon as I landed, I needed to get some work done, so I set up shop in Union Station. There were tons of yummy foods to choose from with the perfect aesthetic.

Right down the road from Union Station is the Milk Market! The Milk Market is chock fill of different bars, places to eat, and places to shop. Definitely a must-see if you're stopping in Denver for the weekend! This area is also known as "LoDo" to the locals. As soon as Dusti picked me up, we started our adventure at Sloan's Lake Park with a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains.

Aissa and I grabbed brunch at Snooze where I went to HEAVEN on a plate. Guys, I’m not joking about this one. We need a Snooze on every corner. Have you ever been?! This sweet potato bacon mash up was one of the best plates I’ve eaten IN MY LIFE. Next up, Denver Biscuit Company. This biscuit was full of chicken, gravy, bacon, egg, and was TO DIE FOR.

Denver is home to the Blue Moon Brewery, and if you're a beer drinker, it's a MUST-see. You have the beautiful view of the mountains while enjoying your choice of tasty beers. Out of the ones I tried,

The last place I recommend visiting is RiNo- also known as the River North Art District. Naturally, I had to grab a giant pretzel and cheese with my beer at the Bierstadt Lagerhaus. Then we strolled around to enjoy the other bars RiNo has to offer as well as the copious amounts of incredible art that lined the streets!

All in all, if you want to visit Denver, DO IT. You won't regret it!
